By the time this WebQuest is finished, students should have a basic understanding of what malicious code is, how it works, how to avoid it, and what some of the costs involved are. They should also have gained experience in performing research, preparing written documents, interviewing, and public speaking and presentation skills. It is worth emphasizing that malicious code is not just a computer issue. It is a societal issue. As computers become yet another appliance in our home and work lives, we should be aware of those who like monkeying with it.
